Princess Kate's annual carol service returns on December 6th, celebrating those who support others in need and highlighting the importance of love and empathy.

AceShowbiz - Kate Middleton will host her fourth Together at Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey in London on Friday, December 6th. The service will reflect on "how much we need each other, especially in the most difficult times of our lives," following a "brutal" year for the royal family.

After completing chemotherapy treatment in September, Kate has been gradually resuming public duties. She attended Remembrance events on November 9th and 10th and has been planning her Christmas concert since.

This year's service will focus on the importance of love and empathy, celebrating individuals who have shown kindness, support, and comfort to others in their communities. Kensington Palace stated, "This theme takes inspiration from the Christmas story which encourages us to consider the experiences of others and the important human need of giving and receiving empathy."

The event will feature performances by Paloma Faith, Olivia Dean and Gregory Porter, and will be attended by members of the royal family and 1,600 invited guests who have supported others in need.

Kate's parents, siblings, and their spouses are expected to attend the festivities, as they have done in previous years. The Princess and Prince of Wales' children, George, Charlotte, and Louis, have also participated in the service by sending Christmas cards to vulnerable children.

Empathy has been a key theme in Kate and William's public duties. In a video message announcing the end of her treatment, Kate expressed her gratitude for the support they have received, adding that their "kindness, empathy, and compassion has been truly humbling."

William described the past year as "the hardest year in my life" and shared that he is focusing on making a difference through "impact philanthropy, collaboration, convening, and helping people" with "empathy in there as well."

Kate's Christmas carol concert reflects her commitment to supporting those in need and highlighting the importance of love and empathy in a year that has been challenging for many.
