AceShowbiz - Ariana Grande has expressed regret after hearing actress Cassandra Peterson, also known as Elvira Mistress of the Dark, recall an unfortunate encounter between the two years ago.
In a recent viral video, Peterson, 73, recounted one of her worst celebrity interactions, alleging that at an onstage horror-themed event, Grande declined to take a photo with her after asking to pose with a large group of Grande's friends and relatives.
Grande, 31, responded on October 21, stating that she was "disheartened" and had no recollection of the incident. "I had an anxiety attack and left before the rest of my family," she explained, adding that she was "not great with public crowds or loud places" at the time.
Peterson's comments drew criticism from the audience, who booed at Grande's alleged behavior.
Grande further apologized for any offense she may have caused, thanking Peterson for being kind to her mother and acknowledging that she may have had different feelings now.
Peterson's encounter with Grande coincided with her performance as Mistress of the Dark at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California, where Grande had reportedly requested 20 guest tickets.
Despite the apology, fans on social media have pointed out that the incident reportedly occurred years ago, around the same time as the 2017 Manchester bombing, which left 22 people dead and hundreds injured. Grande has previously spoken about her anxiety, particularly in the wake of the terrorist attack.
