AceShowbiz - Liam Payne allegedly spent time recreating his favorite One Direction song some hours before he passed away. It has been reported that the "Strip That Down" singer was reworking on "Fireproof".
On Saturday, October 19, a source, who claimed to be close to Liam, spilled what the 31-year-old English singer/songwriter did prior to his sudden passing. Speaking to Daily Mail, the source said, "He was replicating 'Fireproof' on his computer," making a reference to the song that the boy band released back in 2014.
The source went on to explain, "He loved recreating instrumentals and that was his favourite One Direction song. He was redoing the beat." About his condition at the time, the source shared, "He was in a good place, planning for the future, looking forward to going home to Miami to his girlfriend and his dog," referring to Kate Cassidy.
The insider also told the media outlet that Liam "didn't want to die." The insider stated, "Liam didn't have to die. Liam didn't want to die. He had promised us all he would never commit suicide. He was looking forward to the future."
The insider argued, "If someone had called an ambulance when he collapsed in the hotel lobby instead of taking him back to his room and leaving him in there alone, in a psychotic state, he would still be with us."
Liam passed away on Wednesday, October 16 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Prior to his death, he was working on his second album, which reportedly was "quietly put on ice." On one of the unreleased songs, he sings about "heavy weight" on his back.
According to an informant, Liam sings over electronic uptempo beats on one of the songs, "Everyone is talking/ I can't process this now, I got no way out, no way out." He continues, "I still got a heavy weight on my back/ Wish that I could brush it off just like that."
