At the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards, the 'Sicko Mode' hitmaker can't help but burst into laughter when the 'Water' singer makes a joke about his 'very heavy' trophy.

AceShowbiz - Travis Scott (II) was entertained by Tyla's recent joke. The "Sicko Mode" hitmaker could not help but burst into laughter when the "Water" singer made a joke about a heavy trophy following the VMAs controversy.
When making an appearance at the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards, which aired on Tuesday, October 15 after being pre-recorded on October 8, Tyla stepped on the stage to present Travis with his I Am Hip Hop Award. At one point, she showered the hip-hop artist with praise.
Standing alongside Teyana Taylor and speaking in front of the packed audience, Tyla said, "If my booty pops out, please don't look," prompting Teyana and the crowd to laugh. Tyla went on to share, "Oh my gosh. Literally since 'Water', Travis has been such a big supporter of me."
Tyla, who was carrying Travis' trophy using both of her hands, further exclaimed, "So, congratulations!" She then stated, "And come up here 'cuz this one is also very heavy." Her joke led Travis, who was sitting on his seat among the other attendees, to laugh out loud.
Aside from the "Highest in the Room" hitmaker, social media users apparently were entertained by Tyla's joke. Taking to Instagram, one in particular wrote, "The 'veddy heavy' was so cute. She's a cute girl, I like her. She gives princess- I think yall can relax lol."
Another chimed in, "lol she just seem awkward like a lot of us..i like her." A third penned, "Tyla is the moment and Americans hates it cuz she's stealing their favs shine. Get em gurl! Our Uppity African Queen." A fourth added, "Ppl really be doing tf most. She's beautiful, talented and funny."
The joke came around one month after Tyla was criticized over her behavior at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards. During the September ceremony, she was presented by Lil Nas X and Halle Bailey with the Best Afrobeats award. After accepting her Moon Person, she asked them to hold it for her, claiming that she was "not strong enough." While he helped Tyla, Halle stayed still in her position.
Tyla was quickly slammed by many online critics over her "odd" behavior and being told to "stay humble." In response, she tweeted, "Y'all make everything weird... I was not asking my girl Halle... We just girls, STFU I WON A VMAAAA." Later on, she proudly called herself "entitled uppity African."
