AceShowbiz - Internet trolls continue to have a field day following DDG's breakup from Halle Bailey. As the rapper has been facing backlash from social media users, he was recently trolled by a fan who sent him a fake apology from his baby mama.
During one of his recent livestreams, DDG listened to messages sent by his followers. One of them sent a $1 donation along with the fake message allegedly from "The Little Mermaid (2023)" star, who apologized to him for "cheating" on him.
"Halle donated $1," the AI voice informed DDG, before delivering the message from the troll, "I am sorry for cheating on you with Brent Faiyaz. Please come back to me."
DDG, who appeared to get a haircut during the livestream, immediately reacted to the prank. "Alright, y'all doing too much," he said with a smile, after initially looking serious. He went on claiming, "No, I cut this b***h off. You know I'm a whole a** n***a right."
DDG announced his split from Halle on October 3 after dating for over two years. "After much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways. This decision was not easy, but we believe it's the best path forward for both of us. I cherish the time we've spent together and the love we've shared," the rapper shared on his Instagram Story.
He reiterated, "We are still best friends and adore each other. As we focus on our individual journeys and our roles as co-parents, we cherish the bond we've built and the beautiful moments we've shared."
On October 8, DDG used his son Halo, whom he shares with Halle, to plead with critics to stop being "mean" to him. While he has been facing backlash from Internet users, Halle gushed about her "beautiful" life following their split.
