AceShowbiz - Katie Holmes apparently had something serious to talk about. The actress portraying Joey Potter on "Dawson's Creek" looked tense while having a conversation over the phone during a day out.

On Saturday, October 12, the 45-year-old actress was spotted out and about in Brooklyn, New York. In a series of pictures that made their rounds online, it could be seen that she was strolling around the city alone.

Katie was photographed walking on the side of a street while talking with someone on a phone call. She appeared to be serious as she tried to explain something. As she spoke, she put her smartphone on one of her ears and crossed her arm.

At one point, "The Secret: Dare to Dream" actress held the phone with her other hand. She was holding the lower part of her tote bag that was seemingly heavy. The famous figure, who looked happy during previous phone calls in public, did not appear to be in a good mood.

For the solo stroll on the sunny day, Katie opted to wear a casual outfit. She kept her body warm in a light-colored sweatshirt that came with embroideries on its front side. Over the top, she wore a thick coat that featured small black and brown patterns all over it.

The mother of one, who shares daughter Suri Cruise with actor Tom Cruise, also rocked a pair of long dark-colored pants that had a wide-leg design and black leather shoes. She kept her belongings in a black-and-white tote bag and an all-white shoulder bag.

To shield her eyes from the sunlight, Katie put on a pair of brown sunglasses. Keeping her accessories minimal, she donned only a simple necklace. In addition, her long brown hair cascaded down her back.

This was not the first time Katie talked over the phone in public since she has done this several times. However, she looked like she was having fun during most of them, including one when flashed her radiant big smile.
