The 'Viral Moment' hitmaker declares his commitment to helping out victims of 'the tragic situation in the Florida areas' as he and his late protege King Von are accused of monetizing the 2020 killing of FBG Duck.

AceShowbiz - Lil Durk is offering assistance to those affected by Hurricane Milton in Florida. Amid the devastating storm that hit the coast, the Chicago-based rapper has pledged aid to victims of the natural disaster.

On Wednesday, October 9, the 31-year-old, also known as Durkio, took to his Instagram Story to declare his commitment to helping out victims of "the tragic situation in the Florida areas." He announced his plans to donate food and water to those affected by the hurricane through his Neighborhood Heroes foundation.

"Me and my team @neighborhoodheroesfoundation want to put focus on the tragic situation in the Florida areas," Durk said in the statement. "we want to be ahead of everything and we planning to get water and food together for the after math of the hurricane inshallah." He added, "We will keep everybody in our DUA."

While Durk puts his focus on helping out the victims of Hurricane Milton, he is currently being sued by FBG Duck's mother over her son's gang-related killing in the Gold Coast. Lasheena Weekly filed the lawsuit on Wednesday, seeking compensatory damages from rapper Durk, his record label and the international recording companies distributing his music.

The lawsuit also named King Von's estate, his record label, the city of Chicago, Dolce & Gabbana, two private security firms, and six members and associates of the O Block faction of the Black Disciples who were convicted in Duck's slaying earlier this year as defendants.

Roosevelt Allen, senior trial managing counsel at Dinizulu Law Group which filed the lawsuit, claimed King Von, an "OTF underboss," placed a $100,000 reward to have FBG Duck killed. He added that Derrick Banks, known famously as Lil Durk, "was the puppet master of the events leading up to and including August 4, 2020."

Notable record labels, including Alamo Records, Sony Music Entertainment Inc., Universal Music Group Recordings Inc. and Empire Distribution Inc., which allegedly financed the OTF enterprise, are accused of creating "profit" and making "business decisions to act in an extension of a criminal enterprise."

Durk and the labels knew Von "had a vendetta against FBG Duck ... and consistently sought to build a brand of violence and reality rap, based on committing real acts of violence on FBG Duck and the public at large," according to the lawsuit.

"They understood that reality rap, violence, controversy, beefs and notoriety were good for driving increased record sales, streams and views, for building a brand and profiting from a violent image," the suit alleges.

Allen said at a press conference that the shooting was "a brazen act of violence," and the men charged in January "were pawns of a broader scheme of exploitation for profit by Lil Durk, his label and their labels, who were placing profit over human life."

Duck was shot while shopping for a gift for his son on August 4, 2020. Prosecutors alleged Von, who was gunned down on November 6, 2020, placed a $100,000 bounty on Duck. Brinson, a bystander, and Duck's girlfriend Williams were also wounded in the attack and named as plaintiffs in the suit.
