Prior to their performance, NSYNC's Lance Bass and Backstreet Boys' AJ McLean introduced Stray Kids, emphasizing the boy band legacy at the AMAs. Stray Kids expressed their gratitude to their fans and paid homage to the boy bands that influenced them.
