AceShowbiz - On Thursday, October 3, Blake Shelton took to Instagram to wish his "favorite girl" Gwen Stefani a happy birthday. He shared a series of new photos from their time together, including a close-up selfie of the two smiling, a backstage performance shot, and images of Stefani sitting on his lap and in a side-view mirror.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my favorite girl... my pretty girl @gwenstefani!!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!!" Shelton wrote in the caption.
Stefani, who married Shelton in 2021, reciprocated the love by sharing the post on her Instagram Stories and a video of the two on a hike. She wrote, "Happy Birthday to myself," marveling at the scenery and posing with her husband.
During an appearance on "The Jennifer Hudson Show", Stefani revealed that one of the reasons she fell in love with Shelton is his unwavering sense of humor and kindness. She said, "You never get through a day without laughing. The guy has so much patience and so much kindness in his heart."
Shelton and Stefani recently welcomed a new furry addition to their family, a kitten named Corn. Stefani shared a heartwarming post on Instagram about rescuing the kitten and expressed her gratitude for having him as part of their family.
Shelton's birthday tribute comes after he expressed his admiration for Stefani's upcoming album, "Bouquet", which features their duet "Purple Irises". He praised Stefani's songwriting and called her his "favorite all-time singer."
"Bouquet" is set to debut on November 15. Meanwhile, Gwen Stefani celebrated her birthday with an intimate house party, sharing glimpses on Instagram Stories of her "Birthday Queen" sash and the balloons she received from Shelton. She expressed her gratitude to her fans and promised several days of celebration for her "big one."
Decorations for the party included a sign with Stefani's face cut out into silhouettes of women, a nod to her career as a singer and style icon. Shelton also read aloud from a wine glass listing famous movies and stars born the same year as Stefani, including Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and Jennifer Aniston. Stefani humorously lamented her absence from the list.
