AceShowbiz - Tina Knowles, known for her unwavering support and protection of her famous family, has sent a clear message: mess with her grandchildren, and she will not hesitate to intervene.
In an interview with Glamour, the 70-year-old mother of Beyonce Knowles and Solange Knowles shared her perspective on how she navigates media commentary surrounding her children and grandchildren. "When it comes to my daughters, I take it with a grain of salt most of the time," Knowles said. "But with my grandchildren, it's a different story."
Knowles is grandmother to Blue Ivy, Rumi, Sir, and Julez Smith. She explained that she has responded to online trolls who have made negative comments about her young grandchildren. "I've let people have a piece of my mind several times," she said. "But there are certain things I have to draw the line on."
Despite her protective nature, Knowles emphasized that being a grandmother is a less stressful role. "I'm not as stressed out about how they're going to turn out," she said. "I don't have that responsibility."
Knowles added that she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, embracing the opportunity to act like a child herself. "I become a kid when I'm with them," she said. "We swim, swing, and have so much fun."
Knowles also acknowledged the pressure that comes with being in the spotlight, especially for her children. "It's enough already," she said. "You want to protect them. My kids tell me to ignore the negative comments, but it can be frustrating."
