AceShowbiz - Sydney Sweeney, known for her roles in "Euphoria" and "The White Lotus," has addressed rumors that her fiancé, Jonathan Davino, supports her financially. In a recent interview with Glamour, the 27-year-old actress clarified that she is a successful and independent woman in her own right.
"I'm a very successful, independent woman who's worked really hard," Sweeney said. "I've accomplished and bought everything myself, and I provide for myself and my family."
Sweeney emphasized her desire to set the record straight, stating, "You can be in a healthy relationship with someone and also be very successful without needing the man." She described her and Davino, 40, as "teammates" who work together and support each other's goals.
Prior to her success in acting, Sweeney witnessed her parents lose everything, instilling in her a deep-rooted fear of financial instability. As a result, she focuses on saving, investing, and making wise financial decisions. "I'm a huge saver. I don't just go and spend money. I like to invest," she explained.
Sweeney and Davino became romantically linked in 2018, and their engagement was confirmed in 2022. While they have collaborated on business ventures, such as the production of Sweeney's film "Anyone But You," Davino does not financially support her career.
Sweeney recognizes the public's curiosity about her relationship, but she prefers to keep certain aspects of it private. "Everyone is always so curious about who I'm with and what's that like, but I think it's important to have something for me," she said.
