AceShowbiz - Jodie Turner-Smith, 38, has revealed that she is "over men," a year after splitting from her ex-husband Joshua Jackson, 46. In an interview with GLAMOUR magazine, she stated that she is not currently dating and is not prioritizing finding love again.
The couple announced their separation in October 2023 after three years of marriage. Following their split, Jackson has been linked to actress Lupita Nyong'o. Turner-Smith does not have an opinion on her ex-husband's romantic life as long as his partners treat her and their daughter well.
A year after their split, Turner-Smith and Jackson are still navigating the best way to co-parent their daughter, Juno. She acknowledges that it is an adjustment for both parents when they separate, as they are accustomed to being with their child full-time.
Turner-Smith is currently filming for "The Agency" in England while Juno remains in America for school. She admitted that being away from her daughter has been difficult, but she is resilient and believes in her ability to overcome challenges.
The actress previously filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences." She expressed that sometimes relationships do not work out, and it is important to prioritize one's well-being and that of their family.
Turner-Smith emphasized that she does not view their marriage's end as a failure but rather as a new chapter for both of them. She aims to set an example for her daughter by acknowledging when something is not working and making a change.
"I want to emphasize that this is about as much love and joy as it has always been," Turner-Smith said. "This is only about taking a step forward into a better life for everybody involved."
