AceShowbiz - Ed "Big Ed" Brown is single again, less than a week after he proposed to a fan. The "90 Day Fiance" star has broken off his engagement to Porscha Raemond following their whirlwind romance.

But Big Ed apparently has no time nursing a heartbreak as he's been enjoying his life. On Sunday, September 22, just hours before he announced the broken engagement, he was spotted eating at New York hotspot Robkes.

Owner Louie Sel tells PEOPLE that the TLC star "took pictures with everyone" and wanted a T-shirt to "promote the restaurant." He spills, "He loves the food. He had girls taking pictures with him all night. It was a scene."

Big Ed took to his Instagram Story on Monday to announce that he and Porscha had called things off. "Hey everyone, I want to take a moment to address some recent developments in my personal life," he began his statement. "As many of you know, I recently proposed in what was a whirlwind and admittedly, a very impulsive moment."

"After some deep reflection and discussions with those closest to me, I've realized that rushing into this decision wasn't the right move," the 59-year-old continued. "I have nothing but respect and love for Porscha and I wish her the best moving forward."

He signed off the message with, "Thanks, as always, for sticking by me! - Big Ed."

Big Ed also addressed the end of his whirlwind romance in a video posted on his feed. In the clip, he said, "Love is a crazy thing," before admitting, "I did something that was impulsive, I asked this girl to marry me and after considering... It's too soon and it's not really what I want, obviously."

He added, "After talking to my family, I realized that I don't wanna get married. I wanna be single. So I wish her - Porscha - the best in life." He also vowed, "I'm gonna be single for a while, I think. That's the best move."

Big Ed proposed to Porscha on September 14 at YOLO in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, one day after they met at Capriotti's Sandwich Shop in Plantation, Florida, during a fan meet-and-greet. On their first date, he got down on one knee during their dinner date and popped the question with a ring made of a paperclip which he took from the restaurant manager.

"It was love at first sight," a source told Us Weekly of the then-couple. The source said that Big Ed was "blown away within a few seconds" and proposed to Porscha on their first date.

Big Ed was previously engaged to Liz Woods and Rose Vega. Both relationships were chronicled on "90 Day Fiance". He also shares daughter with ex-wife Sandra Heckman.
