AceShowbiz - Ed "Big Ed" Brown has apparently found "The One" for him once again. The "90 Day Fiance" star, whose failed romances have been chronicled on the show, has gotten engaged to a fan whom he met at a signing event just one day before.
The reality TV star proposed to Porscha Raemond on Saturday night, September 14 at YOLO in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He got down on one knee during their dinner date and popped the question with a ring made of a paperclip which he took from the restaurant manager.
According to Page Six, it was "love at first bite." A so-called insider told the outlet, "He was feeling it, so in the moment he took a paperclip from the restaurant manager and fashioned a ring out of it!"
Photos circulating online showed the moment Big Ed got down on one knee and popped the big question. The pair shared a kiss as bystanders clapped. His now-fiancee also showed off her engagement ring.
Big Ed proposed to Porscha within 24 hours of meeting each other. They first met at Capriotti's Sandwich Shop in Plantation, Florida, during a fan meet-and-greet on Friday.
"I met her at Capriotti's in Plantation on Friday where I was doing a Big Ed Meet & Greet," the 59-year-old told the site on Monday. "They serve the most delicious subs I have ever tried and everyone should know you could meet the next love of your life there!"
A source also told Us Weekly, "It was love at first sight," gushing over the 29-year-old brunette, "She's incredible. She's his dream girl." The source said that Big Ed was "blown away within a few seconds" and proposed to Porscha on their first date.
The source added, "He was so enamored that he asked the manager to get him a paperclip and he made her a ring out of it. He got down on one knee and she accepted his proposal."
Big Ed was previously engaged to Liz Woods and Rose Vega. Both relationships were chronicled on "90 Day Fiance". He also shares daughter with ex-wife Sandra Heckman.
In a May episode of the TLC series, he opened up about his feeling in the aftermath of his split from Liz. "I just want to apologize," he told Liz's daughter in the episode. "I'm not sure when I might get to see you again. No matter what happens between your mom and I, I'll always love you."
Big Ed claimed that while he felt disappointed with how things turned out, he felt like he "dodged a bullet." He shared, "And I need to start my life over again at 58. I'm disappointed, obviously, the amount of time that, you know, we both invested trying to make it work, but I don't feel like I failed. I feel like we both dodged a bullet."
