The Paramore lead vocalist calls out Donald Trump and his controversial Project 2025 while performing with her band at the iHeartRadio Music Festival, encouraging young fans to vote against the Republican politician.

AceShowbiz - Paramore's frontwoman Hayley Williams didn't shy away from political activism during the band's performance at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in Las Vegas. In the midst of their set, while performing "Big Man, Little Integrity," Williams took a stand against Donald Trump and his Project 2025.

Addressing the audience on stage at the event which was being livestreamed on Hulu, she declared, "Project 2025 is Donald Trump's playbook for controlling and punishing women, poor people, people of color, and the LGBTQ+ community."

Williams further emphasized the importance of voting in order to thwart the Trump agenda. "It is time for all Americans to band together and to finally defeat the Trump agenda. And the only way to do that is by confronting him at the polls. Do you want to live in a dictatorship? Well, show up and vote!"

Known for her outspoken nature, the Paramore singer has previously voiced strong opinions against other Republican politicians, specifically Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. In a June 2023 performance in Atlantic City, she told the crowd, "If you vote for Ron DeSantis, you're f***ing dead to me. Is that comfortable enough for anyone?"

Earlier in the year, Paramore also took a stand against Tennessee lawmakers when a resolution was passed to honor their Grammy wins but ignored a similar resolution for Black musician Allison Russell.

The band publicly declined the acknowledgment. Williams expressed her disappointment, stating, "The blatant racism of our state leadership is embarrassing and cruel. Myself, as well as Paramore, will continue to encourage young people to show up to vote with equality in mind."

This pattern of activism demonstrates Williams' commitment to using her platform to address social and political issues, especially those affecting underrepresented communities. Her bold statements at high-profile events like the iHeartRadio Music Festival aim to motivate young people to engage in the political process and emphasize their crucial role in shaping the country's future.

Williams' remarks during the festival were not just words; they were a rallying cry for change. Her call to action highlighted the urgency and importance of voting as a means to oppose policies and agendas that disenfranchise marginalized groups.

As the U.S. approaches the 2024 presidential election, the Paramore singer's message is clear: young voters have the power to influence the outcome, and it's imperative they use their votes to advocate for equality and justice.
