AceShowbiz - Rihanna and A$AP Rocky may have a creative way to pay tribute to Fatman Scoop. It has been reported that the "Work" songstress is joining the "Babushka Boi" rapper on a new song honoring the late star following his shocking death in August.
On Thursday, September 19, The U.S. Sun revealed that some of Scoop's friends "have come together to pay tribute to [him] on a song." Among them were Rihanna, Rocky, Slick Rick, Busta Rhymes, Flavor Flav and Morrissey.
Insiders spilled to the media outlet that Rihanna "has now added some vocals" on Rocky's new track titled "Hood Happy", which features Scoop, Slick Rick, Busta Rhymes, Flavor Flav and Morrissey. It was said that "she has been holed up in the Red Bus Recording Studios in London earlier this week where she recorded vocals."
Speaking about RiRi's connection to Scoop, one of the sources spilled to the outlet, "Rihanna and Scoop knew each other well. They had collaborated before and more recently Scoop had recorded a song, 'Hood Happy', on Rocky's upcoming album 'Don't Be Dumb'."
The source went on to explain, "After his death, Rihanna was offered the chance to put some vocals on it. She spent the start of this week holed up in Red Bus Recording Studios in London. It was a super low key visit and she was there for a day or two until the early hours."
Prior to the revelation, Rocky opened up about the particular song that features Scoop. In an interview with Zane Lowe during his appearance on Apple 1 Music, Rocky shared, "I literally tried to figure out how to get my favorite rappers."
The spitter then named his collaborators, "So I got a track with Fatman Scoop, Flavour Flav, Slick Rick, Morrissey, and Busta Rhymes all on one." He further stated, "It's kind of nuts. We call that one 'Hood Happy'. That's coming soon." The collaborative song is expected to be included in Rocky's fourth studio album "Don't Be Dumb", which will be launched later this year.
