AceShowbiz - In the latest episode of her "Give Them Lala" podcast, Lala Kent opened up about the harrowing experience she endured during the birth of her daughter Sosa. Kent, who welcomed the baby via sperm donation earlier this month, recalled that her labor was swift until the doctor noticed an issue. "The cord was wrapped around her neck a couple of times," she said. "He [the doctor] stayed calm, but I could tell something was wrong."

After Sosa was delivered, Kent tried to hold her newborn, but the baby stopped crying and began turning purple. "The nurses were rubbing her chest and sucking things out of her mouth," she explained.

It turned out that Sosa had swallowed a significant amount of amniotic fluid during her fast birth. As a result, she had to be observed for an extra day at the hospital and received medical attention to drain the excess fluid.

Kent also shared that Sosa had gained a pound in one week since coming home, indicating that she is now doing well. She expressed her gratitude for the support she has received from family and professionals, acknowledging that she doesn't consider herself a "single mom" due to the assistance she has.

Kent emphasized the importance of discussing the help available to mothers, especially single parents who may not have the same level of support. "I know single moms who are working two or three jobs," she said. "I don't know how single moms do what they do."
