The iconic fashion showcase is back after five to six years of absence, featuring an all-women lineup of performers and led by legendary musician Cher.

AceShowbiz - After a six-year hiatus, Victoria's Secret's renowned Fashion Show is making a triumphant comeback, bringing with it one of music's most iconic legends: Cher. As announced on September 17, Cher will headline the brand's first major runway showcase since 2018, marking the first-ever all-women artist lineup.

The fashion house shared the news via Instagram, releasing a captivating video of the 78-year-old superstar singing her Billboard Hot 100 hit, "Believe", showcasing a glimpse of what to expect on the VS runway this fall.

"It's a woman's world, so it's understood that you can't have a fashion show without the mother of fashion herself - @Cher!" the caption reads.

Additional performers for the event have yet to be announced, but the brand teased more announcements in the lead-up to the show on October 15 in Brooklyn, New York.

The 2024 fashion show marks a significant comeback for Victoria's Secret. The event was once an annual TV extravaganza, featuring the world's most renowned models, including Heidi Klum, Karlie Kloss and Gisele Bundchen, walking the runway in lingerie and elaborate angel wings. Top musicians such as Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd and Lady Gaga have graced the stage, providing live performances during the show.

After the 2018 show, Victoria's Secret canceled the event amid backlash over its lack of inclusivity and promotion of unrealistic beauty standards. In 2019, parent company L Brands expressed its intention to "evolve the marketing of Victoria's Secret" in the show's absence.
