On Sunday, September 15, the 28-year-old actress showed up at the 76th annual awards ceremony, which was held at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles, California. When hitting the red carpet, she brushed shoulders with the 69-year-old country music singer.

The rare moment was documented in a video that was uploaded on X, formerly known as Twitter. In the 18 second-clip, it could be seen that Ayo was walking alone towards a crowd of people, including Reba. She then saw the country star standing a distance away in front of her, leaving her in shock.

Ayo stopped walking as she shouted, "Oh my God!" several times. Shocked, she covered her face with both of her hands while still looking at Reba. She appeared to have excitedly explained something to Reba, prompting the singer to burst into laughter.

Ayo seemingly also told Reba that she is a big fan of the latter. Fortunately, she received a good response from Reba, who voiced her appreciation and was being friendly. Furthermore, the two famous figures had a fun chat. While Ayo shyly covered her mouth with her hand, Reba was smiling from ear-to-ear.

The short footage of Ayo running into Reba led X users to comment on the actress' reaction to the encounter. In the replies section of the tweet, one in particular wrote, "The way i'd be behaving the same." Similarly, another penned, "this would literally be me like reba RAISED me, i'd be crying."
