AceShowbiz - "The Bachelorette" star Jenn Tran may still be reeling from her highly publicized breakup with former fiance Devin Strader, but she's charting a new course full of self-care, new opportunities and a fresh celebrity crush. Jenn opened up about her current emotional state and future prospects during a recent appearance on Nick Viall's podcast "The Viall Files" on Thursday, September 12.
Despite being courted by numerous potential suitors, she confessed, "I can't picture myself dating anyone right now. If Jayson Tatum, my celebrity crush, came up to me and asked me to go on a date, I don't think I could say yes yet because it would be messy."
The drama in Jenn's life reached a fever pitch following the tumultuous finale of "The Bachelorette" season 21, where she and Devin both proposed to each other only to reveal their split during the "After the Final Rose" special. Devin broke off their engagement via a 15-minute phone call, which left Jenn grappling with trust issues. "The texts being released, me not really knowing who this person was, I need some time to kind of get over that and then trust people again," she shared.
Adding fuel to the fire, Devin released screenshots of their private text messages, an act that Jenn found deeply invasive. "When you get engaged to somebody [or] when you're dating somebody, your first thought is never, 'Oh, my gosh, these texts might be blasted for the whole world to see.' Like, that is such an invasion of privacy," she lamented.
But it's not all doom and gloom for Jenn. She disclosed on the podcast that she's switching her celebrity allegiance from Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum to Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard Max Strus. "Max Strus, if you're out there and you're single, I'm here, I'm ready," she announced lightheartedly.
Meanwhile, Jenn is channeling her energy into an exciting new project, appearing in the upcoming season of "Dancing with the Stars". The televised dance competition will provide her with a much-needed diversion from her breakup and an opportunity to focus on self-improvement. "I'm still very much going through a healing process," she told PEOPLE, but added with optimism, "It's a healing process but right now I'm just so excited for this new opportunity and kinda just being able to jump into something different and something that I've always been wanting to do."
"Dancing with the Stars" season 33 premieres Tuesday, September 17 at 8 P.M. ET on ABC and Disney+, with episodes streaming the following day on Hulu. Jenn, partnered with Sasha Farber, is gearing up for the challenge, even if she has to take tequila shots to warm up to the intimate nature of the dances.
