AceShowbiz - Fans of "Dancing With the Stars" were eagerly anticipating which celebrities would embark on the 2025 "Dancing With the Stars: Live!" tour, but one familiar face won't be joining them.
Jenn Tran, the beloved contestant from Season 33, recently revealed in an emotional Instagram video shared on November 20 that she won't be part of the tour. "I got a call about [the] tour, and I won't be going on tour, which is really sad because I really wanted to go," Tran, 26, revealed. "I'm crying because I can't dance when two months ago, I didn't even know that I liked to dance."
Jenn Tran's journey on "Dancing With the Stars" was not just a stint on a reality TV show; it was a healing experience. Tran made her "DWTS" debut shortly after her dramatic breakup with Devin Strader following "The Bachelorette" season 21.
Paired with professional dancer Sasha Farber, the duo was eliminated during the Halloween Nightmares episode despite earning high scores. "I'm so happy and grateful and proud that we were able to work hard and get that 10," she told Us Weekly. "It just proves that anybody can do anything they put their mind to."
Beyond the controversy, Tran found solace and joy in dance. She reminisced about how much she enjoyed performing live and being part of the "DWTS" family. "I can still go and take dance classes, which I'm gonna do, but the performance aspect of it and putting on a live show for that amount of people and just, like, dancing with all these people...it is just sad that it really, truly has just come to an end for me," she shared.
Jenn viewed her "DWTS" experience as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to cultivate her newfound passion for dance. However, missing out on the live tour felt like losing a precious chance to hold onto that joy a little longer. "I felt like with tour, I was gonna be able to hold onto this feeling a little bit longer and hold onto this dancing moment that I've been having," she elaborated.
Despite the melancholy, Tran remains optimistic and grateful. "You know the saying, 'Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened.' And it really is true. I really did have the best two months of my life dancing," she affirmed. As she pivots to find dance studios in Los Angeles and Miami, fans can rest assured that Jenn Tran's love for dance will continue to shine.
When asked about the rumors of a romance with her dance partner, Sasha Farber, Tran joked in a podcast interview, "Oh, God. If you say boyfriend, he's going to freak out." Despite the end of her "DWTS" journey, Tran's story is a poignant reminder of how unexpected passions can bring healing and joy, even when dreams don't pan out exactly as planned.
