Finch described Grohl as a "top-tier dad and friend" and said she has witnessed his family dynamics firsthand while touring with the band. She added that she will not reveal any details about their past relationship or the lovechild until the child turns 18.

On Tuesday, Grohl announced on Instagram that he had fathered a child outside of his 21-year marriage to Jordyn Blum. He said he plans to be a loving and supportive parent to the child and is working to regain his family's trust and forgiveness.

Grohl's ex-girlfriend Tina Basich, a former snowboarder, has previously spoken about her tumultuous relationship with Grohl in her 2003 memoir. Basich alleged that Grohl cheated on her during their two-year romance in the late 1990s.

Jordyn Blum has not publicly commented on the situation, but she was seen without her wedding ring several weeks before Grohl's announcement.
