Kendrick Lamar has released a new song, his first since 'Not Like Us', on his Instagram page, showcasing his lyrical prowess and continuing his musical journey.

AceShowbiz - Kendrick Lamar has surprised fans with the release of a new song titled "Watch the Party Die" on his Instagram page. The five-minute track features references to Christian rapper Lecrae, Terrace Martin and what appears to be a veiled jab at DJ Akademiks.
Lamar's lyrics touch upon various topics, including the bias in media, "The radio personality pushing propaganda for salary/ Let me know when they turn up as a casualty." He also addresses the ongoing tension with Drake in lines such as "Just walked that man down, that'll do everyone a solid/ It's love but tough love, sometimes you gotta result in violence."
This song marks Lamar's first new music since the release of his hit single "Not Like Us". which became one of his biggest hits to date, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this year. "Not Like Us" not only topped several Billboard charts but also peaked at No. 2 on the publication's Song of the Summer chart.
Lamar's latest song comes shortly after the announcement of his performance at the 2025 Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime show. This will be his second halftime performance, following his appearance alongside Dr. Dre and other hip-hop legends in 2022.
Speaking about the Halftime gig, Lamar expressed his passion for rap music. "Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I'll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one."
