AceShowbiz - Last night on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!", Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Billie Eilish shared insights into her creative process and personal life. At just 22, Eilish has achieved remarkable success with seven Grammys and broken numerous streaming records worldwide.
Eilish emphasized her preference for releasing full-length albums, explaining, "I love when something feels like one piece and is cohesive and thought through." She also shared her meticulous approach to arranging the flow of each album, saying, "I'll write down all the names, tear them up, move them around... it's all about dynamics and the flow."
Speaking about her long-standing connection with her fans, Eilish likened seeing familiar faces at her concerts to "seeing old friends again." She explained that she has witnessed the growth of her fans alongside her own, remarking, "When I was first starting out, there would be certain kids that I would see at everything I would do, and we were all the same age. Over the years, I've seen the same faces multiple times, and it feels like seeing my old friends again."
In an exclusive behind-the-scenes clip, Eilish showed a snippet of her and her brother, FINNEAS, working on the track "Birds of a Feather" in an SUV in Brazil. She described their sibling collaboration as "such a normal thing" for them, and they have recorded in various locations, including tour bus bunks and hotel rooms.
Balancing life on the road and her mental well-being is crucial for Eilish. She explained, "I don't ever want to resent touring, but you can start hating yourself if you're gone for too long." To maintain her balance, she takes breaks between tours.
Eilish's latest album, "Hit Me Hard and Soft", debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, marking her highest weekly album units. The album's 10 tracks made it into the Billboard Hot 100's top 40, including "Lunch," which became her highest debut to date at No. 5. Hit Me Hard and Soft also secured 90,000 units in vinyl sales, earning Eilish her fifth consecutive No. 1 on the Vinyl Albums chart.
FINNEAS, Eilish's brother and producer, has revealed insights into their collaborative process. He highlighted Billie's preference for quieter guitar sounds, saying, "Her number one piece of feedback is to be quieter." Despite her self-perceived lack of experience, FINNEAS praised Billie's musical sensibilities and her ability to influence the sound of their music.
