AceShowbiz - Channing Tatum's Gambit made a memorable appearance in "Deadpool & Wolverine", and a deleted scene shared by Ryan Reynolds confirms that the character emerged victorious from the climactic battle in The Void. The scene shows Gambit grinning after the fight, suggesting that his story has yet to conclude.
Reynolds, who also stars as Deadpool in the film, teased on Instagram about a "Marvel Sparkle Circle" that could be used to bring Tatum and Gambit into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). A version of the deleted scene is said to be playing in the background on a monitor at the Time Variance Authority (TVA) headquarters.
Tatum expressed his gratitude to Reynolds for the opportunity to play Gambit, a role he had long dreamed of portraying. He believes that Gambit's story has potential for further exploration, and hopes for a stand-alone film featuring the character.
In the film, Tatum's Gambit has a thick Cajun accent that was intentionally difficult to understand. Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool even jokes about it, comparing it to the Minions. Tatum, who grew up in the South, embraced the accent as part of the character's charm and over-the-top nature.
Tatum remains optimistic about a future Gambit solo film, but leaves the decision in the hands of Marvel executives. Despite the cancellation of an earlier Gambit project, Tatum's appearance in "Deadpool & Wolverine" has renewed interest in the character and his potential within the MCU.
