Scheduled to perform at 8 P.M. on Friday at the New York State Fair's Suburban Park stage, T-Boz fell ill with "sudden and severe nausea, vomiting, and intense abdominal cramps," as stated in the group's Instagram press release.
Watkins was promptly taken to a hospital, where initial evaluations ruled out food poisoning and confirmed the abdominal blockage. As a result, "the Syracuse and Foxwoods performances" were canceled. Fans and event promoters received apologies from T-Boz, who expressed her deep regret over the cancellations.
