A long-awaited 'Happy Gilmore' sequel is finally coming to Netflix, and it's set to feature a special appearance by the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Adam Sandler reveals.

AceShowbiz - Netflix is bringing back "Happy Gilmore" for a sequel, and the cast is starting to take shape. Following news that the film was in development, Adam Sandler has revealed that Travis Kelce, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs and boyfriend of Taylor Swift, will be joining the project.

Kelce has openly expressed his desire to appear in the sequel, having previously stated on his podcast that he would even be willing to be an extra. Sandler confirmed Kelce's involvement on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon", teasing a "nice something" for the player.

The sequel's storyline and cast are still largely unknown. Sandler and original co-writer Tim Herlihy are behind the script, and production is set to begin in September in New Jersey. Sandler has shared that many real golfers will be making cameos in the film, including Christopher McDonald, who played Happy's rival Shooter McGavin in the original movie. Julie Bowen, who portrayed Happy's love interest Virgina Venit, is also a likely candidate to return.

Kelce's role in "Happy Gilmore 2" remains unspecified. However, the tight end's recent announcement of his upcoming appearance in Ryan Murphy's "Grotesquerie" horror series and the big-screen comedy Loose Cannons suggests that he's ready to make a significant mark on the entertainment industry.

The release date for "Happy Gilmore 2" has not yet been announced, but fans can expect to see it hit Netflix in 2026.
