AceShowbiz - Ice Spice has finally broken her silence on speculation that she's using Ozempic to lose her weight. After parading her slimmer figure in a series of Instagram posts, the rapper has slammed the claims that she took the drug to obtain her body goal.
During a conversation on X Spaces on Monday, August 19, the Bronx femcee took the time to address the rumors when she was complimented for her look. Seemingly growing tired of the rumbling speculation on the Internet, she said, "Cuz I was like... I wish y'all never learned the word Ozempic. Like what even is Ozempic? What the f**k is that? Like genuinely what is that, bro?"
The 24-year-old insisted that her stunning physical transformation is the result of working out, eating healthy and her grueling tour schedule. "Like you lazy b***hes have never heard of a gym?" she fired back. "It's called the gym. It's called eating healthy. It's called being on tour." She added, "Maybe if I was sitting home all f**king day it'd be easier to stay big."
Ice's slimmer figure made a prominent appearance at the 24th Annual BET Awards on June 30. Since then, many speculated that she took the type 2 diabetes drug to lose her weight.
While this is the first time Ice, born Isis Naija Gaston, has directly responded to the rumors, she has previously documented her fitness journey. Back in July, she posted on her Instagram page a selfie taken at a gym. In the photo, she held her phone to capture her backside while she was clad in a bright pink bodysuit.
The "Munch (Feelin' U)" hhitmaker also posted a picture of her leaving a sweat mark on a workout equipment, hinting that she worked hard to obtain her weight goal.
That, however, didn't stop people from speculating about her weight loss. When she shared other photos showing off her snatched waist, people commented on it with "Stop using Ozempic" and others accused her of photo editing.
