AceShowbiz - Chappell Roan is the IT girl through and through. The "Good Luck, Babe!" hitmaker set a hilarious trend on TikTok after she slammed VIP concertgoers when she performed at the Outside Lands Music Festival in San Francisco, California.
During the Sunday, August 11 performance, Chappell criticized the VIP audience for their lack of enthusiasm during her breakout song "Hot to Go". "It's so weird that VIP thinks they're so way too cool to do this!" so she said while teaching the dance moves for fans to do during her performance.
Not stopping there, the 26-year-old star later headed to the far end of the stage and shouted into the microphone, "You're not fun!"
The said dance moves saw fans shaped their arms to spell out H-O-T-T-O-G-O along with the song's chorus. While most fans appeared to already know the moves and were excited to do the dance, fans at the VIP section didn't seem so.
Following the performance, a fan uploaded the hilarious clip of Chappell scolding fans at the VIP section on TikTok. The clip became viral even further after British singer-songwriter Maisie Peters posted to the social media platform using the audio clip. "When the boyfriends in the crowd don't know all the words to my songs," so she wrote in her post.
Some fans quickly posted TikTok videos using the audio with their own takes. One fan made the audio to defend his love of Taylor Swift, writing over his video, "When someone finds out you're a Taylor Swift fan and they just HAVE to make sure you know how much they hate her."
Chappell's Golden Gate Park performance over the weekend drew huge crowds to the festival's Lands End Stage on the final day of the event despite her early 4 P.M. time slot. According to Allen Scott, president of concerts and festivals for the festival's producer Another Planet Entertainment, around 50,000 of the festival's 75,000 attendees showed up for the new pop sensation's set.
