Prince Harry inquired about the students' names and ages, while Meghan shared that their son, Archie, was the same age as one of the pupils.

Markle's Spanish proficiency stems from her experience as a press officer at the American embassy in Argentina and her studies in Spain. She has previously displayed her language skills during public outings.

Besides chatting with students and working on puzzles, the couple also enjoyed a tour of the school, which included a visit to the historical memory museum and a look at the garden created to teach students about nature and agriculture. Three trees were planted in honor of their visit.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also participated in the school's social and emotional gym, where students demonstrated meditation techniques. They were welcomed by students performing traditional Colombian dance and music.

Colombia's Vice President, Francia Marquez, joined the couple for their school visit. She had invited them after being inspired by their Netflix documentary series, "Harry & Meghan". Marquez emphasized the significance of their visit ahead of the Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children, scheduled to be held in Bogotá in November.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are currently in Colombia for a four-day trip focused on the work of their Archewell Foundation, which addresses issues such as cyberbullying, mental health and family support. Their visit also includes stops in Cartagena and Cali and engagements related to the Invictus Games, a sports tournament for service personnel founded by Prince Harry.
