AceShowbiz - Zac Affleck, first cousin once removed of actors Ben Affleck and Casey Affleck, is making his reality TV debut on Hulu's new series, "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives". He will star alongside his wife, Jen Affleck, a popular TikTok creator with over a million followers.
Jen, who is excited to discuss aspects of her relationship in the show, believes it was equivalent to "ten years of marriage counseling." The couple, married since 2019, shares two children, Nora and Luca.
Zac's involvement in the show stems from his father being a cousin to the famed Affleck brothers. Jen has joked on social media about her husband's connection to actor Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez.
"The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" follows a group of Mormon influencers whose lives were disrupted by a swinging sex scandal. The series highlights the impact on their faith, friendships, and reputations.
The scandal erupted when cast member Taylor Frankie Paul (who also stars in the show) announced her divorce from Tate Paul and admitted to "soft swinging" with friends. This implicated other "MomTok" influencers, including Paul.
After her divorce, Paul introduced Dakota Mortensen as the man she had an affair with. She later welcomed a child with Mortensen.
Despite facing domestic violence charges, Paul expresses hope that the show will provide viewers with a better understanding of her journey.
"The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" also features Demi Engemann, Jessi Ngatikaura, Layla Taylor, Mayci Neeley, Mikayla Mathews and Whitney Leavitt.
All eight episodes of the series will premiere on Hulu on September 6, 2023.
