AceShowbiz - Selena Gomez may be or may not be engaged to Benny Blanco just yet. After fueling her engagement rumors with her recent social media post, the singer/actress has sent a conflicting message in a new video featuring her boyfriend.

On Friday, August 9, the 32-year-old made use of her Instagram page to post a video promoting her makeup brand Rare Beauty. In the clip, she showed a little pink pouch containing some basic products she used to create her natural radiant look.

Joined by her boyfriend in what looks like their bathroom, the "Only Murders in the Building" star applied Rare Beauty powder on her face. As she used a puff to apply the powder, she showed her bare hands, seemingly to dispel speculation that she has gotten engaged to her boyfriend.

Towards the end of the video, the former Disney darling gave two thumbs up to the camera, further showing that she had no accessory on her hands besides what looks like a black hair tie on one of her wrists. Benny then got into the frame as he hugged his girlfriend from behind.

"Happy girl," Selena captioned the video. Benny cheekily commented, "i want one of those lil bags !!!" The official Instagram account of Rare Beauty also weighed in on the video, writing in the comments, "everything about this is so cute."

Selena uploaded the new video just one day after she shared a mirror selfie on her Story. On Thursday, she was believed to be hinting at her engagement to Benny with the snap as she strategically covered her left hand with a pink heart emoji. The "Love On" songstress, who looked chic in a champagne dress, simply captioned it, "Night out."

The engagement speculation itself surfaced earlier this month, after DeuxMoi shared a blind item from an anonymous tipster. The proposal reportedly took place at a beach house the couple usually hangs out with their friends, who were allegedly also present when Benny asked for her hand in marriage.

The email read, "This a list actress/semi retired singer got engaged over the weekend to her bf of a year recently surrounded by friends at their usual beach house hang out."

The blind item did not mention Selena and Benny by their names, but the clues were all there. The lovebirds have been dating since 2023 before Selena confirmed their relationship at the end of last year. In January, the 32-year-old stated that she prefers acting over music, and only has "one more album in [her]". The couple has also been spotted several times hanging out with friends at a beach house in Malibu, California, including during her recent 32nd birthday celebration on July 22.
