AceShowbiz - Yung Miami was grilled about her relationship with Sean "P. Diddy" Combs upon the return of her talk show "Caresha Please". Turning the tables on her in the new episode that aired on Thursday, August 8, she was interviewed by Saucy Santana about her lack of reaction to the abuse allegations leveled at her ex-boyfriend.
"I met Diddy at peak party and I met him when he was in a 'Love' era," the raptress explained the beginning of her relationship with Puff. "And I met Diddy when the world was celebrating him and giving him his flowers while he was alive. … So I was celebrating him with the world."
She continued, "And I just feel like everybody trying to crucify me for it, like 'you was his biggest advocate, you was his s**t.' I was just celebrating when we was celebrating him. So why am I being crucified or why am I being separated?"
On why she wasn't speaking up when the allegations against Diddy came up, the City Girls star said, "I can't speak on something that wasn't my experience. I can't speak on something that I don't know. I can't speak on these allegations because I wasn't around at the time I don't know that person and that wasn't my experience."
Insinuating that she never experienced abuse at the hands of Diddy, Yung Miami said she had been a victim of domestic violence in two previous relationships, and it is something she "doesn't stand for."
She continued sharing of her positive approach to her relationship with the Bad Boy Records founder, "I wasn't going to the relationship thinking like I wanna get a purses, I wanna go on private jets. I wanna get down and like I feel like I'm up on a mogul I wanna learn something. You know, like I wanna learn business. So I went into that relationship like on a more of I wanna become a mogul."
The mother of two broke down in tears when sharing how the past few months have been hard on her mentally. "One minute I'm happy, one minute I'm sad," she tearfully said. "One minute, I'm kinda like, 'F**k this s**t.' And then the next minute, I'm looking at my kids, like I didn't bring us this far to go backwards."
In the wake of Diddy's legal woes, the 30-year-old said she actively distanced herself from Diddy. "When all these things came out, I just needed to take a break and focus on what's important, which is me and my career and my family," she explained. "[I needed to] let him navigate and figure that out on his own because I can't be caught up in that."
During the interview, Yung Miami also addressed rumors that City Girls, her rap duo with longtime friend Jatavia "JT" Johnson, had disbanded. She admitted things "weren't working out" and the two had grown apart, but added, "I still look at her as family, but it's not like we are on the phone, chatting every day." She stated, "I just want to move forward."
Yung Miami and Diddy were first linked romantically in 2021. In May 2023, they attended the Met Gala together, but they refused to put a label on their relationship, saying they had their "own situation." The raptress told The Cut at the time, "We're still good friends. But we're single. That's not my man."
