His son, Anthony Logan, confirmed the news to PEOPLE, stating that his father passed away from natural causes on May 6 in Estero, Florida.
Born in Brooklyn and raised in Los Angeles, Logan's acting career began after being discovered by a talent scout. He played J.R. Hale, a hipster valet parking attendant on "77 Sunset Strip," for two seasons from 1961 to 1963. He also starred in the family adventure drama "The Adventures of the Wilderness Family" (1975) and its sequels, "The Further Adventures of the Wilderness Family" (1978) and "Mountain Family Robinson" (1979).
Logan's other credits include the western adventure "Across the Great Divide" (1976), the family adventure "The Sea Gypsies" (1978), and appearances in shows such as "Dr. Kildare" and "Mr. Novak." He met his wife, Alina, while on the set of the 1986 film "A Night in Heaven." The two married in 1985.
Logan's family remembers him as the "embodiment of agape," the Platonic ideal of love. He is survived by his siblings Logan, Theresa, Janet, and Timothy; his wife Alina, his son Anthony and daughter Courtney; daughter-in-law Hayley; and granddaughters Elsa, Ingrid, and Alma.
