AceShowbiz - The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has released photos of three individuals suspected of being involved in the fatal shooting of former "General Hospital" actor Johnny Wactor on May 25. The grainy photos depict the suspects wearing hooded sweatshirts. The suspect who fired the weapon is described as having tattoos above his left eye and right cheek.
The stolen vehicle involved in the incident is a black, 2018, 4-door Infiniti Q50 with a tan interior. Investigators believe all three suspects are connected to Wactor's killing.
Wactor, 37, was shot and killed during an attempted catalytic converter theft in downtown Los Angeles. He was leaving his bartending shift when he noticed three men lifting his vehicle with a floor jack. A confrontation ensued, resulting in Wactor being fatally shot. The suspects fled the scene in the stolen Infiniti.
The LAPD urges the public to come forward with any information that could lead to the identification and apprehension of the suspects. During business hours, contact Central Bureau Homicide Detective Howarth at (213) 996-4143 or Detective Bobadilla at (213) 996-4173. After hours, notify the Central Area Watch Commander.
In the wake of Wactor's death, officials have stressed the severity of catalytic converter thefts, emphasizing that such crimes can escalate into violent situations. City Councilman Kevin de Leon and fellow actor Micah Parker have called for justice and an end to the impunity surrounding these thefts and violent acts.
