AceShowbiz - Former NFL legend Bernie Kosar, 60, has disclosed his recent diagnosis of Parkinson's disease and liver failure to Cleveland Magazine. Kosar received a cirrhosis diagnosis in March 2023 and was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in mid-February 2024. He has been placed on the waiting list for a liver transplant, with doctors estimating a 90% chance that he will require a new organ.
Despite his health challenges, Kosar has shown remarkable resilience. He has adopted a strict regimen of juicing, black coffee, smart supplementation, and intermittent fasting, which he believes has improved his well-being.
"I can see that what I'm doing is making a difference," Kosar said. "I strongly believe it will continue."
Kosar's positive attitude is essential to his fight against his debilitating conditions. "I believe that positive energy can be manifested in our brains, and I love to live in the space of positivity," he explained. "I visualize good health. It's not so much that I'm trying to sell it to myself, or that I'm in denial, as it is choosing to be positive."
"Because everybody’s got something. We’ve all got health issues to some degree, we all have bumps in the road." he continued.
Kosar's journey serves as a reminder that even in the face of adversity, hope and perseverance can prevail.
