AceShowbiz - Matthew McConaughey just got stung by a bee, but he made light of the experience instead. When offering fans a look at his swollen eye, the "Interstellar" actor still managed to flash a huge smile.
On Wednesday, July 10, the 54-year-old shared on Instagram a picture of his right eye completely swollen shut. While it looked painful, the Oscar winner was barely bothered by it as he smiled at the camera. He simply captioned the post, "bee swell."
Many have since sent well wishes to Matthew. Others, in the meantime, cracked some jokes by using his catchphrase since portraying the David Wooderson character in the 1993 film "Dazed and Confused". One in particular asked, "Are you all right all right all right?"
Another added, "That is NOT alright, alright, alright! Sorry boss." A third individual chimed in, "hope youre gonna bee alright, alright, alright, alright!"
Matthew uploaded the post just a few days after he and his wife, Camila Alves, paid a loving tribute to their son Levi on his 16th birthday. In a voiceover accompanying a montage of photos, the Texas native shared, "Alright Levi, coming on that age, buddy. About to be out on your own."
Camila, meanwhile, reflected on their parenting journey, expressing their hopes that they had done their best. The doting father added, "You're not gonna really have us as a safety net out there in the wonderful, wild world forever."
To guide Levi through his independence, the "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" star offered valuable advice. He encouraged his son to "just go out, enjoy," while being aware of his surroundings, being himself, and making conscious choices. He also emphasized the importance of recognizing the good in others, but being cautious of those who may not be paying attention.
Matthew, who also shares daughter Vida, 14, and son Livingston, 11, with Camila, ended his heartfelt message with a reminder to "take your time" and "enjoy the journey." The actor's message was met with love and support, with many commenting on his close bond with Levi and the wisdom he imparted.
