AceShowbiz - In a rare interview, Channing Tatum has opened up about the positive impact working with his fiancee, Zoe Kravitz, has had on their bond. While promoting his latest film, "Fly Me to the Moon", Tatum discussed his role in Kravitz's upcoming directorial debut, "Blink Twice".
He acknowledged that collaborating on a project could have tested their relationship, but instead, it solidified it. "Working with your partner truly is - you know, I know a lot of people are afraid of it," Tatum told Extra. "It was the thing that cemented us in a way. We started, you know, kind of grew a little bit right before we started filming, and then it's like, 'Okay, we're gonna go do this.' It just brought us together."
Tatum shared that the experience highlighted their shared love for creating and exploring life together. "Our relationship was sort of born inside the creative process of it in a way," he told E! News. "It didn't feel any different. That was what brought us together and made us really feel like we're very connected on what we love about life, what we love about just things in general about being alive."
Tatum went on to encourage couples to take on challenging creative projects together as an ultimate test of their relationship. "That's the only piece of, like, dating advice I'll ever give anybody. If you have a partner and you're thinking about, 'Is this the one for me?' go and find the hardest possible project that you can find together," he explained. "Build a room, paint a room, make some sort of creative project, and not just if you got through it, but if you like enjoyed doing it with each other. Because it's going to be hard, it's gonna be hard at times."
Tatum also praised Kravitz's comedic talents, comparing her to his "Fly Me to the Moon" co-star, Scarlett Johansson. "Scarlett's very, very funny. Weirdly, they're both very funny, but don't get the credit for being funny," he told ET. "Zoe and Scarlett, because they're so beautiful, people just go, 'We're gonna hire you for that.' Or, 'We're gonna look at you as that and you're not allowed to be anything else.' "
Tatum's comments highlight the transformative power of working together as a couple on creative projects and the importance of shared values and passions in strengthening relationships.
