AceShowbiz - Miami native JT of the City Girls is set to embark on a month-long solo tour named after her debut mixtape, "City Cinderella". The trek kicks off August 20 in Kansas City, Missouri, and wraps up September 22 in Los Angeles, California, with stops in major cities like Chicago, Washington DC, Philadelphia and New York City.
Tickets for the tour go on sale in three phases, Venue/promoter pre-sale (July 10, 10 a.m. local), Spotify pre-sale (July 11, 10 a.m. local), and general public sale (July 12, 10 a.m. local).
This tour marks a significant milestone in JT's career, being her second solo tour this year and the release of her first mixtape, "City Cinderella", a departure from her previous club venue-only sets. The 16-track project features singles like "OKAY" and "No Bars", and is set to drop July 19.
City Girls, a Miami-based duo consisting of JT and Yung Miami, emerged in 2017 and quickly gained recognition. They garnered mainstream attention with their guest appearance on Drake's "In My Feelings" (2018) and have since released multiple successful albums, including "Girl Code" (2018), "City on Lock" (2020) and "RAW" (2023).
Despite the duo's initial success, they faced legal challenges and have recently faced criticism for poor management and communication. This has reportedly led to tensions and the duo's eventual disbandment in 2023.
JT has continued to pursue a solo career, releasing singles like "Sideways" and "Okay", while Yung Miami has also embarked on solo projects.
