AceShowbiz - Miranda Lambert, always known for her no-nonsense attitude, recently issued a playful but firm message to fans who might feel like throwing punches during her shows. In a tongue-in-cheek Instagram video, Lambert declared, "If you want to fight at my concerts, give 'em hell. I've got five songs for you: 'Fastest Girl in Town,' 'Kerosene,' 'Little Red Wagon,' 'Wranglers,' and 'Gunpowder & Lead.'"
Lambert, 40, emphasized that "Tin Man" - a poignant ballad - was off-limits for such behavior. "Don't do it during 'Tin Man.' That's not the time. I know you can hear the s*** talking 'cause it's a ballad, but that's not the time. So, pick your times. You've got five songs," she said, pointing at the camera with a wink.
The video follows an incident at one of her Texas shows where Lambert had to pause her performance of "Tin Man" to address an altercation in the crowd. "Did somebody faint? Did somebody pass out? Are you good?" she asked, visibly irritated. She continued, "Are y'all fighting during this song? Because I will come down there, and you don't want that today. We're not doing that today. I'm going to go East Texas on you're a** real quick!"
Lambert humorously suggested that security should remove the brawlers, adding, "She looks about (5-foot-4). Throw her over your shoulder, man." Such incidents have not been rare for the singer, who last year stopped another rendition of "Tin Man" to admonish fans taking selfies during her Las Vegas residency. "I'm gonna stop right here for a second. … These girls are worried about their selfie and not listening to the song. It's p***ing me off a little bit," she vented.
On social media, fans have mostly backed Lambert's stance, with comments like "This is the best. Have some respect for Tin Man people. Also no fighting during 'Vice' either. Lol" and "Fighting during Tin Man should be a felony." Another fan humorously suggested adding "Mama's Broken Heart" to her brawl-approved set list, to which Lambert replied, "yes that is on the set list too! So 6 songs!"
With her tour continuing across the country through October, Miranda Lambert's message is clear: enjoy the music, but save the drama for the right songs. Otherwise, you may face an unexpected and embarrassing ejection from the venue.
So, if you have tickets to one of her upcoming shows, remember to plan your fights accordingly. And most importantly, don't mess with "Tin Man".
