AceShowbiz - Jenna Bush Hager, co-host of "Today with Hoda & Jenna", recently shared an amusing and relatable story about her young son, Hal. While getting dressed for the day, she revealed that Hal has an interesting nickname for one of her body parts, "nickels."
"He says, 'Look at your big nickels,' " Hager shared. "Now he's talking about something else... it's nipples."
Hager admitted that Hal's comments can sometimes make her feel "a little humiliated in [her] own home." However, she added that she doesn't mind walking around naked in front of her children, as long as she's not out and about.
"I have a question for you," co-host Hoda Kotb asked, "Do you care about walking around naked with your kids around?" Hager responded, "No I don't. But not in a gross way. I'm not walking around, I'm in the privacy of my own bathroom."
Despite her relaxed attitude towards nudity, Hager admitted that Hal has started to influence her getting-ready routine. "He's started to shame me into outfit, hair, makeup," she said. "He walks in and makes fun of my 'nickels,' pointing and laughing and talking about their size."
In addition to Hal, Hager and her husband, Henry Hager, have two daughters: Mila, 11, and Poppy, 8. Mila has also been known to make surprising comments about her mother.
Hager recalls a time when she went for a walk in her pajamas with Mila and their cat in a stroller. They encountered some neighbors while Hager was cutting flowers in their yard. "I turned around like this, cutting the neighbor's yard," Hager said. "In the air! Cutting. Short PJs! I do a little wave."
When asked by the neighbors if she thought it was stranger that she was cutting the flowers in her pajamas or that she was walking around with a cat in a stroller, Mila responded with a comment that made everyone laugh. "[Your] gyat was up there in the air and you were cutting the neighbor's flowers!"
