AceShowbiz - Shannen Doherty, now 53, revealed on the "Let's Talk Off Camera" podcast that discovering her ex-husband Kurt Iswarienko's infidelity plunged her into a nine-month period of darkness. She underwent brain surgery shortly after and said it took her a long time to recover and completely detach from him.

"I was really, really in a dark place for, like, nine months after I found out what he did," she said. "And I had brain surgery. When I found out, it was like a whole fiasco that it's only recently that I've completely recovered where I have zero [feelings] for him anymore."

Doherty's divorce from Iswarienko, whom she was married to for 11 years, has been ongoing and has highlighted the toll divorce can take when combined with serious health issues. She has accused Iswarienko of delaying the proceedings in hopes of her passing before he is required to pay spousal support.

"I don't know where I am with dating," she admitted. "It's only been a year since the whole fiasco with my husband, and I'm still fighting a divorce, and it's still so hard and raw."

Prior to her marriage to Iswarienko, Doherty had other difficult relationships. She admitted that her previous boyfriend's lack of respect and multiple affairs led to a deep-seated sense of hurt.

Doherty's battle with cancer has also played a significant role in her life. Despite receiving a diagnosis of stage 4 breast cancer that has spread to her bones and brain, she remains hopeful and resilient. She has shared that she is "basically the same" in terms of her condition and that she continues to seek effective treatments.
