Author Tom Quinn claims that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex opt not to send any invitations to the royal family for the young girl's birthday bash in their California mansion over the weekend.

AceShowbiz - Prince Harry and Meghan Markle apparently skipped the British royal family when celebrating their daughter Princess Lilibet's 3rd birthday. Author Tom Quinn claims that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex didn't send any invitations to the royal family for the young girl's birthday bash in California over the weekend.

"Rather than go for a low-key celebration Harry and Meghan have spent the past weekend enjoying a pre-birthday bash for their daughter Lillibet's third birthday," Tom tells OK Magazine via Radar Online. "Hugely expensive presents have been ruled out but the couple's mansion in California was awash with celebrities including Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom and their daughter Daisy, who is just a few months older than Lilibet."

Tom later notes, "Shockingly no invitations to Lilibet's party were issued to members of the royal family." As for the reason, Tom claims, "One of Harry's old army friends said, 'Harry knew they wouldn't come anyway and he was pretty sure he would not have wanted them there.' But he is really sad that Archie and Lilibet cannot have any kind of relationship with their cousins while his feud with his family continues."

It was said that the couple hosted the early birthday party for Lilibet, who officially turned 3 on Tuesday, June 4, at their home in Montecito, California. The bash was attended by the royal couple's close family, friends and some of their daughter's friends.

Harry and Meghan, who also share son Prince Archie, welcomed their daughter in California in 2021. "On June 4th, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili. She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we've felt from across the globe," they confirmed Lilibet's arrival in a statement at the time. "Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family."
