The 'Son of a Sinner' singer, who is taking a break from social media due to body-shaming, is spotted in a good-cause advertisement, in which he pokes fun at himself.

AceShowbiz - Jelly Roll was seen in a TV commercial amid cruel body-shaming. The "Son of a Sinner" singer, who was revealed to have stepped away from social media due to bullying, was spotted in the advertisement, in which he called himself a "big fat guy."

On Thursday, April 25, the 39-year-old country music star was caught in the good-cause advertisement, which was aired on FOX. In the video, which was first released in February, he encouraged people to help homeless veterans through the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

In the clip, Jelly, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, said, "We're talking about the people who have put their lives on the line for this great country. The people who have lost and paid the greatest price for our freedom. Those are the real heroes, man, I'm just a big fat guy with a guitar."

Jelly went on to invite people to donate $11 a month to the foundation. He explained, "Proving a safe and dignified home is a safe and imperative part of helping veterans who are homeless, reclaim their lives."

A few days prior, Jelly made headlines for his decision to take a break from social media due to hurtful body-shaming comments from online critics. On Sunday, April 21, his wife, Bunnie XO, revealed, "My husband got off the internet because he is so tired of being bullied about his f**king weight."

Bunnie additionally shared, "And that makes me want to cry, because he is the sweetest angel baby. My husband doesn't show it to you guys, but I'm going to have a very vulnerable moment here. It hurts him."

On Tuesday, April 23, several photos of Jelly hitting a gym in Los Angeles made its rounds online. The "Need a Favor" singer was spotted grabbing a cup of smoothie following a workout session at the gym as he was joined by his pal.

One day later, Jelly received support from fellow artist Flavor Flav. Making use of X, formerly known as Twitter, the rapper uploaded a video in which he blasted haters for body-shaming Jelly. Along with the clip, he tweeted, "Y'all gone and bullied one of THE NICEST people off social media."

"So I felts the need to standup for my man JellyRoll," the hip-hop artist continued. "That man does so much for people and communities through his music and activism,,, Luv me some @JellyRoll615 and Bunnie."
