AceShowbiz - Amy Schumer has been spotted filming her upcoming comedy "Kinda Pregnant" in New York City. The 42-year-old actress appeared slimmer than usual in a turquoise V-neck T-shirt, floral print mini skirt and white sneakers.
Despite facing criticism for her "puffy and swollen" face earlier this year, Schumer has been candid about her health struggles. She revealed that she has been battling endometriosis and Cushing Syndrome, a hormonal disorder characterized by excessive cortisol production.
In the film "Kinda Pregnant", Schumer plays Lainey, a woman who becomes jealous of her friend's pregnancy and starts wearing a fake baby bump. The project is directed by Tyler Spindel and also stars Will Forte, Jillian Bell, Damon Wayans Jr., and Brianne Howey.
Before filming commenced, Schumer addressed the criticism surrounding her appearance, advocating for self-love and acceptance. She stated, "I have endometriosis... There are some medical and hormonal things going on in my world right now." Despite the challenges, she expressed pride in her work on the TV show "Life & Beth".
However, Schumer has not shied away from discussing her weight loss journey. In 2023, she revealed her experience with the drug Ozempic, which she found unpleasant. She also admitted to undergoing liposuction in 2022.
"I just wanted to say that because if anybody sees me in pictures or anything and they're like, 'She looks thinner,' and whatever, it's because I had a surgery," Schumer said.
Despite her efforts to manage her weight, Schumer remains vocal about the importance of body positivity and the challenges women face with body image. Her upcoming comedy "Kinda Pregnant" is expected to premiere at a yet-to-be-announced date.
