The former '19 Kids and Counting' star and her spouse are heartbroken by the stillbirth of their daughter Isla Marie as they announce the sad news in a somber Instagram post.

AceShowbiz - Jill Duggar and her husband, Derick Dillard, have suffered the devastating loss of their fourth child, a baby girl named Isla Marie Dillard, who was stillborn. The couple shared the heartbreaking news on April 13 via a joint Instagram post.

"It is with heavy hearts that we announce the stillbirth of our beautiful baby girl, Isla Marie Dillard," they wrote. "Jill was 4 months pregnant when we found out that our baby died in utero. From the moment we found out we were pregnant, we couldn't wait to meet our baby. Isla was much loved from the start, and her 3 big brothers were so excited to introduce her to their world."

Jill and Derick, who had not publicly announced their pregnancy, shared an image of themselves holding newborn clothes as they mourned their daughter. "We appreciate your prayers as we continue to grieve and heal from the loss of our little Isla Marie," they added.

The couple, who are also parents to sons Israel, 9, Samuel, 6, and Freddy, 21 months, have previously experienced pregnancy loss. In 2021, Jill miscarried a baby named River.

After welcoming Freddy, Jill expressed her conflicting emotions in an Instagram post, saying she missed River but felt grateful for their new baby. She also acknowledged other mothers who had experienced pregnancy loss.

In her 2023 book, "Counting the Cost," Jill opened up about potentially not having as many children as she originally envisioned. Her concerns stemmed from Samuel's health issues and her own difficult birth experience. After visiting a fertility specialist, Jill expressed her doubts to her father, Jim Bob Duggar.

Despite cultural pressures within their family to have many children, Jill and Derick emphasized that they were trusting God to determine the number of children they would have. They also spoke out against the toxic aspect of the hierarchy associated with having more children.
