AceShowbiz - Sabrina Carpenter received backlash after a picture of a promotional billboard for her Coachella set hit the web. Internet users apparently weren't a fan of the copywriting job for the advertisement which many deemed sexually exploitative.

The promotional billboard featured the "Nonsense" singer posing in what seemed to be baby blue lingerie. She had her blonde locks fall while seductively raising one of her arms and putting it behind her head.

Next to her image, a text read, "She's gonna make you come… to her coachella set!" Sabrina's moniker was also written in huge letters.

Upon catching wind of the promotional billboard, Internet users quickly blasted the singer for its sexual innuendo. "When you have 0 talent," one criticized. Another wrote, "Sad to have to be sexualized."

"We know the tickets weren't selling so it came to this again. Just like her music wasn't didn't make a noise for years and then had to start singing about deeecks," one other said. Someone else, meanwhile, noted, "Sexism at its maximum."

However, not everyone took it in a negative light. Some others loved the promotion with one saying, "i love it so on brand for her." Another fan wrote, "She's so fun, I love her."

The billboard wasn't the only thing that earned Sabrina criticism in the recent weeks. She was previously blasted by Taylor Swift's fans, known as Swifties, for partnering with Kim Kardashian's brand SKIMS despite being a close friend of Taylor and even serving as the opening act on the "Anti-Hero" singer's "Eras Tour".

Amid the backlash, Sabrina's fans have defended her decision to work with SKIMS. One insisted "everything is business," while someone else stressed that Sabrina is "a free woman and can do what she wants."

Kim herself previously gushed over Sabrina. "The Kardashians" star said that Sabrina has "a fashion sense and an 'it' factor that really resonates with the next generation." She also loved the musician's "talent and playful style."
