The female members of 'Saturday Night Live' have taken to social media to weigh in on the viral video claiming the sketch show never hired 'hot' comediennes.

AceShowbiz - A TikTok user has ignited controversy after claiming that "Saturday Night Live" has never featured a "hot" woman in its nearly 50-year run. Cast members have responded with humor and outrage.

TikToker Jahelis posted a video alleging that the show does not hire attractive female comedians. She argued that people find it difficult to accept that beautiful women can also be funny, citing Heidi Gardner as an example. She claimed Gardner is often portrayed as "super hot and super dumb" in sketches.

Jahelis went on to criticize other female cast members, including Maya Rudolph ("really beautiful"), Kristen Wiig ("very conventionally attractive"), and Amy Poehler ("not hot"). However, she praised the male cast members, calling Jimmy Fallon, Andy Samberg, Jason Sudeikis, and Bowen Yang "hot."

Current cast member Sarah Sherman responded sarcastically on X, saying, "Just found out I'm not hot. Please give me and my family space to grieve privately and uglily at this time." Newcomer Chloe Troast created a reaction video singing "Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera while subtly flipping off the camera.

TikTok users denounced Jahelis' claims, citing examples of stunning SNL female comedians, such as Cecily Strong, Ego Nwodim, Kate McKinnon, and Tina Fey.

The controversy has also sparked discussions about society's perception of female comedians and the stereotype that attractive women cannot be funny.

Despite the criticism, SNL has a long history of featuring talented and diverse female cast members. The show has launched the careers of comedians like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, and Kristen Wiig, who have gone on to critical and commercial success in film, television, and comedy.
