Released on March 22, the footage features the Princess of Wales shockingly revealing that she is diagnosed with cancer after an abdominal surgery in January.

AceShowbiz - Kate Middleton raised people's eyebrows once again after her cancer announcement video received an editor's note on Getty Images. Clearing the air, a spokesperson for the photo agency explained the reason behind the flag.

"Getty Images includes a standard editors note to handout content provided by third party organizations," the spokesperson told PEOPLE on Tuesday, April 2. The footage is credited to "BBC Studios/Kensington Palace" via Getty Images.

Prior to the statement, people noticed that Getty added an editor's note to the video, which was released by Kensington Palace on March 22. "This Handout clip was provided by a third-party organization and may not adhere to Getty Images' editorial policy," the note read.

In the video, where she revealed that she was diagnosed with cancer after an abdominal surgery in January, Princess Kate could be seen sitting alone on a bench in the garden of Windsor Castle. She admitted that she and Prince William have been doing everything they can to process and manage the situation privately for the sake of their young family.

"This of course came as a huge shock," she stated. "It has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louie in a way that's appropriate for them and to reassure them that I'm going to be okay. I said to Them, I am well, and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal."

She also thanked the Prince of Wales for his unwavering support, noting, "Having William by my side is a great source of comfort." Concluding her message, she asked for privacy for her family while she completes her treatment. She also expressed her intention to return to public duties when she is able but stressed that her focus for now is on making a full recovery.

As to why Kate broke the shocking news alone, a palace source recently told PEOPLE, "It is a message from the princess about her health, and she wanted to personally deliver the message on her own." The insider said Princess Kate made clear that Prince William has been "supporting her throughout."

"William is extremely proud of his wife for the courage and strength she has shown not just this week but since her surgery in January," the source continued. "Now more than ever, he's focused on ensuring his wife has the privacy she needs to fully recover and that his children are shielded from the understandable interest in the news that has been shared."
