Scott Swift won't face charges Down Under after a shutterbug accused him of assault while the photographer was trying to take pictures of his superstar daughter.

AceShowbiz - Authorities in New South Wales, Australia, have decided not to pursue charges against Scott Swift, the father of singer Taylor Swift, after an alleged assault on a cameraman in February. The incident occurred shortly after Swift's final show at Accor Stadium in Sydney.

According to police, an investigation was conducted following a report that a 71-year-old man (Scott Swift) allegedly assaulted a 51-year-old man (photographer Ben McDonald) at Neutral Bay Wharf around 2:30 A.M. local time. McDonald, who works for Matrix photo agency, claimed that Swift confronted and punched him while he was taking photos of Swift getting off a private yacht.

However, a representative for Taylor Swift maintained that two individuals were aggressively pushing their way towards her, grabbing security personnel, and threatening to throw a female staff member into the water. The spokesperson did not address the allegations against Scott Swift at the time.

The investigation by the North Shore Police Area Command has concluded, and police have determined that no further action will be taken. The incident did not result in any injuries.

Scott Swift has been a fixture of the "Anti-Hero" singer's touring enterprise, often seen handing out guitar picks to audience members and mingling with Taylor's boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. The pop star is currently on a two-month break from performances and is set to release her new album, "The Tortured Poets Department", on April 19.
